Worship
At Valley Fellowship Church, worship is an integral component of our church’s mission and services. We value Holy-Spirit-presence-empowered worship. We have a passion for God’s presence that transforms lives. By His Spirit we move and breathe, and our worship enables us to minister to the Father’s heart and connect with this Spirit.
In John 4, Jesus tells the Samaritan woman at the well, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” (NIV)
As a congregation, this is our deepest desire, to be true worshippers of His Word and Spirit whom God the Father seeks! Our response to God’s presence is whole-hearted worship and praise. This is often evidenced in our gathers with the lifting of hands, hymns of praise, and spontaneous, unrehearsed personal songs of worship. If you would like to serve as part of our team, connect with us today and learn more.
Youth Ministry
Andrew and Angela Isley lead the team that connects students to Christ, to one another, and to the local church. God can transform a young person’s life through worship, prayer, and of course, the Word of God. There are several connection points for students, but the big gathering is at 6:00 PM at the 3205 Holmes Avenue Campus (Valley Fellowship’s Student Center). VFC Youth ministry also has a Zoom offering, so contact Pastor Andrew for the meeting id and password.
Ministry to Children
Something special happens in the VFC Children’s Ministry for children from four to twelve years old. Every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM, dedicated adults pour into the lives of children. Holy-Spirit-empowered ministers use Bible stories, skits, worship, music, crafts, snacks, games, videos, and lots of fun to encourage and strengthen kids. Pastor Ruthie Baker would love to connect with you!
During the 10AM service, children (3-years-old through 5th Grade) meet in the Cafeteria Building (building two). Pastor Ruthie leads the KidMin team welcoming the young ones.
Drop off and pickup for children’s services are at the double-glass doors of the cafeteria building.
Nursery
We have temporarily suspended separate in-person Children’s ministry for children younger than three years old until further notice. As recovery from covid-19 allows, we will restart Nursery ministry (from birth until their fourth birthday) during every congregational service at Valley Fellowship. Pastor Ruthie is happy to give you a tour of area set aside for excellent childcare.
Small Groups
Individuals within a group share life together. Groups provide a place to connect, to serve, and to grow. Our groups are as varied as we are; leaders use their personal passions to create connection options for whatever age, interest, life experience, or location. Groups are also the relational structure for how ministry is accomplished at our church. More information coming soon!
Prayer
Fervent, earnest prayer of righteous men and women accomplishes and produces wonderful results. At Valley Fellowship Church, prayer is at the heart of everything we do. According to 1 Timothy 2:1 “I urge, then, first of all that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.” Our church has various groups carrying out this command for praying for all facets of the world – especially when it comes to revival. For more than two decades, Pastor Carol Simon has lead a Tuesday morning intercession group made up of men and women who touch heaven. Call the church office for more details if you would like to join them.
In our prayer groups, we expect miracles and for the power of God to prevail. Ephesians 6:17-18 guides our prayer as Paul wrote: “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayer and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.”
School
Valley Fellowship Christian Academy is a Christ-centered, fully-accredited, academically-focused school. Founded in 1987, the school partners with Christian parents to provide a multifaceted, Christ-grounded education for students of all ages. VFCA and LVA (Little Valley Academy for preschoolers) are positively impacting many lives and many families. We are thankful for the new Student Center at 3205 Holmes Avenue that has allowed for more growth as we raise up students to be Godly leaders.

Service
Service is love in work clothes.
All of us were created by God to make a difference in the life of another person. God has a place for you where your unique abilities and passions can touch the lives of others. Your life will never make sense until you find, develop, and fulfill that purpose.
1 Peter 4:8-11 (Message) states, “Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. Love makes up for practically anything. Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless- cheerfully. Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and He’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything.”
We are acting on that passage. We invest ourselves spiritually, involve ourselves physically, and sacrifice financially. Our recent service opportunities allow us to go into the community and make a real, lasting impact. It’s a fun and simple way to get plugged in at Valley Fellowship Church. We invite you to live out the true heart of the Gospel with us. We can’t wait to witness how God will use your talents and gifts as we come together in His name!
Giving of yourself is an important habit for spiritual maturity. What we possess is a gift from God and our ultimate responsibility is to use what He has given in a way that glorifies Him. Giving of yourself includes your time, talent, treasure, and tongue (the words we speak). God’s Word applauds those who give themselves “first to the Lord” (2 Corinthians 8:5), but the Book of Second Corinthians also highlights right attitudes toward giving: give sacrificially (2 Cor. 8:3-4); give willingly (2 Cor. 8:12); give expectantly (2 Cor. 9:6); give thoughtfully (2 Cor. 9:7a); give voluntarily (2 Cor. 9:7b); give cheerfully (2 Cor. 9:7c); give generously (2 Cor. 9:11).
To get involved with our outreach, start by contacting the church office at 256-533-5117. From there, you can give your time or money donations to help support the outreach to love neighbors and nations.
