About Us

Valley Fellowship Christian Academy (VFCA) was founded in 1987. The education offered at VFCA is one infused with the newness of the Holy Spirit, emphasizing academic excellence. Our mission is to train our students to become Christian leaders, Godly men and women, to take places of authority in the world and in Christ.s body of believers. VFCA is an extension of the Christian home and exists to help parents fulfill their responsibility to educate their children.

VFCA operates as a church school and a non-profit organization. We are dually accredited through the International Christian Accrediting Association (ICAA) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). We have been a member of Oral Roberts University Educational Fellowship (ORUEF) since 1988. Our teachers are degreed educators who have made Christ their Lord; they teach from a biblical worldview using biblically based curriculum.

VFCA offers grades K3-12, extended daycare, and summer day camp. Our extended daycare program is exclusively for VFCA students; early morning care is from 6:30 am until 8:00 am and after school care is from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. For our K3-K4 students, afternoon daycare is provided from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

VFCA offers many opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. Our sports program, directed by parent volunteers, includes soccer (grades K4-12th), basketball (grades 5th-12th) and girls volleyball (grades 5th-12th). We are a member of the Huntsville Independent School League (HISL). Other extracurricular activities include voice, dance, guitar, and choral lessons, as well as creative writing groups and opportunities to participate in annual mission trips. The Children.s Prayer Network is open for all grades and meets daily to pray for our national, state and local leadership. This student group takes an annual trip to our state capital as well as to Washington, DC. VFCA also offers a piano lab program as part of the regular curriculum for our K3-4th grade students. In this program, students develop piano skills and note reading.

Our Summer Camp program runs through June and July from 6:30 am until 6:00 pm and is open to children ages 4-12. Activities include academic reinforcement in math and reading, library visits, Bible, arts & crafts, bowling, skating, movies, putt-putt, and more.

Valley Fellowship Christian Academy.s future is filled with expectation. VFCA was birthed out of prayer and continues to be a place for the Lord.s presence to dwell. We are grounded in the Word and our mission is clear: we will continue to raise Godly leaders who will change this world for Christ!

Valley Fellowship Christian Academy's
Worldview

VFCA holds to a God-centered view of life, truth, and education. There is one God who manifests Himself in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the only Sovereign being. He created and sustains all things by His power. Man is a part of that creation. Man was made in the image and likeness of God. However, man chose to disobey God and fell into sin. As a result, man's innate nature of sin can only be restored into a relationship with God by accepting the salvation provided by Christ's death and resurrection.

VFCA affirms that the purpose of education is to train the student in an understanding of God's nature. By doing so, the student can then fulfill the purpose of God for his or her life. A true Christian education must be based upon the infallible authority of the Bible as God's Holy Word. Students must be trained in their spirit, mind, and body so that they can be well prepared for their purpose both on earth and in eternity. Students must be taught that all truth is God's truth. Knowledge and understanding in all subjects of education originate from God's truth. These subjects must be taught by teachers who have a God-centered view of life and truth and who will model that view for the student. At the culmination of their educational career at VFCA, it is our firm desire that our students have formulated and can articulate their own worldview and that it will be a Biblical worldview that will sustain them for the rest of their lives.

Valley Fellowship Christian Academy's
Spiritual Objectives

Valley Fellowship Christian Academy's primary spiritual objective is the spiritual growth and maturity of all its students. Making the Word of God the standard in all facets of our mission is paramount to fulfilling the call of God at VFCA. One key factor in achieving this objective is in the selection of our teachers. Luke 6:40 frames this foundational belief. Our students will only attain to a healthy level of spiritual growth as those who are called to teach them. Therefore, the process of hiring teachers, the living curriculum, is one of the most crucial areas when endeavoring to build a strong Biblical worldview in our students.

A second key in achieving our objective deals with the selection and implementation of our formal curriculum. VFCA is committed to, whenever possible, using formal Christian curriculum that is based on the Word of God. The main curriculums used are ABeka and Bob Jones for grades K3-12th grade. Secular curriculum that is used must be aligned and infused with Biblical standards. Our teachers endeavor to teach from a Biblical worldview and integrate God's truth into every subject area. It is the aim of our program to train and teach students to apply God's living Word in their everyday lives.

Valley Fellowship Christian Academy's
Statement of Faith

The foundation for teaching the Word in the classroom is based on what is taught in the pulpit of Valley Fellowship Church. The following are the foundational truths of Valley Fellowship Church. We believe:

  1. The Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
  2. That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
  3. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His personal visible future return to this earth to receive to Himself His blood-bought Church that it may be with Him forever.
  4. In the precious blood of Christ and that regeneration is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
  5. That the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the body in answer to the believing prayer.
  6. That the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
  7. In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by who's indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
  8. In the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
